High pressure petroleum pipeline operator with eight years of experience in a PSM regulated environment.
I have a strong pull toward understanding HOP and am looking to transition into that as a career. My experience has been within safety-critical operations, and I’m interested in how systems and processes can better support the people doing the work every day.
I’m especially interested in:
- Safety II and learning from normal work
- Shiftwork fatigue and its impact on decision making and risk
- Understanding incidents without defaulting to blame
- Strengthening procedures and system design to support consistent, safe execution
I’m early in this transition and looking to learn from people already doing this work, how they got into it, what roles exist, and what their day to day actually looks like. I’d like to hear about different paths and perspectives in this space.
