Speaker Bio: Lynn Huckabey
Organizational Learning Manager, Georgia Power Company- Lynn Huckabey is an accomplished utility industry professional and Organizational Learning Manager with Georgia Power Company. She leads initiatives that enhance organizational safety, reliability, and operational excellence by integrating front-line insights into continuous improvement strategies. With over twenty-five years of experience across energy distribution, transmission, system operations, and power generation, Lynn has developed a reputation for advancing performance through both technical innovation and human-centered leadership. She also spearheaded improvement efforts with Southern Company Gas, strengthening operational performance, customer experience, and revenue collection through data-driven organizational learning, a focus on front-line employee experiences, and cultural transformation.A professional engineer, Lynn brings deep expertise in Human and Organizational Performance. Her work bridges human factors engineering, organizational psychology, and operational safety, helping complex organizations reduce error, improve reliability, and build a culture the embraces error as an opportunity to grow. She holds credentials in OSHA compliance, change management, ISO 9001 Quality Assurance, and is a LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt. Lynn earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology.Lynn has served as Member Chair of EPRI’s Human Performance Working Group and has experience conducting academic research exploring the connections between leadership characteristics, organizational culture, and measurable business outcomes. Her organizational learning leadership includes experience facilitating high-impact organizational learning sessions for critical infrastructure projects. Her contributions have supported operational reliability initiatives with the Department of Homeland Security during Super Bowl LIII and guided post-storm recovery efforts following Hurricane Michael. Lynn's multidisciplinary approach, combining engineering precision with psychological insight, continues to shape how organizations learn, adapt, and thrive in high-stakes environments. In her free time, Lynn enjoys traveling the world with her adored daughters and husband.
