About me
Katie Nowacki, MPH is a Senior Quality Improvement Specialist within the James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She works on the Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS) learning network where she works with over 150 Children’s hospitals to reduce preventable harm in pediatrics. Prior to SPS, Katie was a Patient Safety Improvement Lead at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She provided quality improvement coaching to units to help them lead for patient and team member safety. Previously, Mrs. Nowacki was a Project Manager of Quality & Patient Safety at the Colorado Hospital Association. She has worked with Colorado’s 100 hospitals to advance patient safety, patient engagement, and quality within their facilities. She is a certified Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and a professional in healthcare quality. She earned her bachelor degree in science technology studies and bioethics at Michigan State University Lyman Briggs School of Science and her master degree in public health focusing in health systems, management and policy at the University of Colorado School of Public Health. She resides in Franklin, TN with her husband and two children.
