Captain Dave Hunt is the Vice President, Safety & Security, and the 14 CFR Part 119 Director of Safety for Southwest Airlines. He is responsible for the overall Leadership, direction, innovation, and management of the Safety & Security Department-serving as the principal advocate for initiatives to further enhance Safety, Airport Security, and Environmental Services.
Dave joined Southwest Airlines in October of 1999 as a First Officer, upgraded to Captain in 2007, and joined the Safety Team in 2011. Prior to Southwest Airlines, Dave served in the United States Air Force as a C-141, T-37, and T-1 pilot.
